ATOM Initiates ‘Season of Gratitude’, a Series of Activities to Uplift Communities Across Myanmar During the Festive Season

• ATOM celebrates the festive season by sharing its gratitude to communities in more than 70 cities nationwide
• Various donation and engagement activities will be held from October onwards
• The activities are earmarked to positively impact more than 200,000 people

Yangon, Myanmar, 27 October 2022 – In celebration of Myanmar’s festive season, ATOM has initiated ‘Season of Gratitude’, a series of donation and engagement activities to uplift communities in more than 70 cities nationwide. The activities, to be held from 21 October 2022 onwards, are anchored on the cultural value of sharing gratitude with others during the festive period, and ATOM’s endeavour to enrich the lives of people in the country.

ATOM has allocated more than MMK 700 million to conduct more than 200 ‘Season of Gratitude’ activities which are earmarked to positively impact more than 200,000 people. This includes donations of bags of rice and food items to more than 21,000 people in 43 townships across the country from 21 to 28 October 2022.

“As ATOM celebrates its first festive season with the people of Myanmar this year, we wish to extend our gratitude by giving back to and uplifting communities in different ways. ‘Season of Gratitude’ is guided by our commitment to respect and preserve the local values of generosity and solidarity which are deeply rooted in Myanmar society. Our idea of a Beyond Better celebration are gestures of kindness that we hope will bring joy, cheer and positivity to many,” said Muhammad Ziaullah Siddiqui, Chief Executive Officer of ATOM.

In addition to donations of food items, ATOM’s ‘Season of Gratitude’ activities will include contributions of books and pens to orphanage and monastic schools, the distribution of Pathan booklets to pilgrims at various pagodas, and other meaningful activities across Myanmar.
