ATOM Behaviours: Deliver on Commitments - Trust, Integrity, Accountability

What does it mean to deliver on a commitment? At ATOM, we believe this means doing what we say we’ll do through collaboration among our employees and with partners that is grounded on trust, integrity and accountability.

In this article, I would like to share about one of ATOM’s five behaviours – “Deliver on Commitments,” and how it guides the ways in which we operate as we strive to bring #BeyondBetter offerings and services to our customers.

Building Trust in the Workplace

Trust in the workplace means employees enjoy a culture of honesty and mutual respect. They’re proud of where they work, are more willing to go above and beyond for the organization and are encouraged to foster trust in all stakeholder relationships.

We encourage our teams at ATOM to cultivate mutual respect, operate transparently, and place emphasis on goal-setting and growth so that trust is built in the workplace. Employees who trust their colleagues and leadership are more likely to be open, honest, empathetic, and collaborative. All of which boost innovation and productivity.

Acting with INTEGRITY

Integrity means keeping promises while also focusing on delivering consistent values, principles, and outcomes, as these traits foster a positive culture in the workplace. For example, each department at ATOM conducts quarterly planning sessions where we align our goals and objectives according to our 10 Commitments to ensure that we are heading in the same direction as a company.

Acting with integrity also means maintaining appropriate ethical behaviour. AT ATOM, all employees adhere to moral and ethical principles and values, as guided by our five behaviours.

ACCOUNTABILITY Towards Our Commitments

Accountability in the workplace refers to employees taking responsibility for their actions, performance and decisions. It involves each employee being aware that other team members and the company’s performance depend on the results of their work.

At ATOM, accountability is embedded in our culture. We encourage our employees to lead by example, to set team goals, to practise two-way feedback, and to support one another in being more accountable. 

In closing, I would like to reference the phrase “actions speak louder than words”. Our teams at ATOM are encouraged to act with trust, integrity, and accountability so that commitments turn into results. How and what we deliver is ultimately what matters.
