Today, August 12th marks International Youth Day. The theme for this year is “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages.”

Fitting this year’s theme, ATOM firmly believes that everyone should have an equal opportunity in this world regardless of their age, orientation, or beliefs. At ATOM, we encourage diversity and inclusion and base performance on ability and talent rather than on age and gender. We appreciate leveraging our young leaders in senior leadership and middle management roles.

Intergenerational solidarity also applies to the digital world we are living in and trying to advance for the people of Myanmar. As such, everyone should be entitled to internet and telecommunication access, and be equipped with the right knowledge to navigate the digital spectrum and to stay safe online. When innovating products and services and building initiatives that are close to the hearts and minds of the Myanmar people, ATOM will not only consider the present but thinks ahead for the future.

As a people-first and purpose-led company, we are committed to giving back to the society of all generations and have developed some programmes around this pledge. We recently announced our Advancing Life & Education program, where we contribute towards bettering the facilities and infrastructure of thousands of youth and children across the country. Additionally, we are always looking for ways to nurture and build talent in our industry and planning to introduce innovative Technology Trainee Program (TTP) soon. This is a social benefit program designed for Myanmar youth to make them industry-ready.

We strive to empower Myanmar, transform businesses, create more jobs, and advance the telecom landscape. We know that there is no better way to create a better sustainable future for Myanmar than by investing in today’s youth.

We will continue to support the Myanmar community and hope to help shape a safe and inclusive digital space for all the Myanmar people. Together, we can and will go beyond better for the youth and people of all ages in Myanmar!
