ATOM Announces Leadership Transition

In preparation for continued growth, ATOM announces a leadership transition and new leadership structure, effective 1 July 2024.

Current Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Muhammad Ziaullah Siddiqui, will be stepping down due to his personal family commitments requiring his presence in Dubai. Zia will remain on the board of directors for ATOM Myanmar and Investcom Pte Ltd. He will also serve as an advisor to ATOM until the end of 2024, ensuring a smooth handover.

We express our sincere gratitude to Zia for his leadership during the past two years. Under his guidance, ATOM has established itself as a market leader, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

Succeeding Zia as CEO will be Ahmad Abdallah, currently serving as Chief Operations Officer (COO). Ahmad brings over 25 years of extensive telecom experience, along with a deep understanding of the Myanmar market. His dedication, diligence, and integrity make him an ideal choice to lead ATOM into the future.

Win Swe, currently serving as Deputy COO, will assume the role of interim Deputy CEO as ATOM streamlines its organisational structure by phasing out the COO and Deputy COO positions. Additionally, Ahsan Syed will take on the expanded role of Chief Commercial Officer, while retaining his current responsibilities as Chief Marketing Officer.
