ATOM Celebrates Anniversary by Conducting Successful 5G Trials and Customer Appreciation Activities

Yangon, Myanmar, 10 June 2024 – ATOM, Myanmar's leading 4.5G VoLTE network provider, celebrated its second anniversary on 8 June 2024. Reaffirming its commitment to digital innovation, ATOM has commenced 5G mobile network trials to prepare for modern era technologies. Additionally, the company will conduct a range of activities to express gratitude to its customers, partners, and communities across Myanmar under the theme of "Beyond Grateful, Beyond Better."

ATOM Advances 5G Rollout in Myanmar with Successful Trials Conducted in Two Cities

In line with its "Beyond Better" promise to deliver the best connectivity and customer experiences, ATOM is upgrading its core network to 5G technology to pave way for new digital services in Myanmar. The company successfully completed 5G mobile network trials in Yangon and Mandalay on 8 June 2024. ATOM collaborated with Huawei for the trials in Yangon, and with ZTE for the trials in Mandalay.

These trials achieved impressive data transfer rates of more than 1 gigabit per second (1 Gbps) – ten times faster than current 4G networks. This paves the way for faster downloads, smoother streaming, and support for advanced applications across various industries.

ATOM's "Beyond Grateful, Beyond Better" Activities to Celebrate its Second Anniversary

Offers and Deals for Customers: Special offers, bonus points, lucky draws, and cashback deals for customers throughout June and July 2024. One of the special offers offers customers the chance to earn double ATOM Star Points and to win a brand-new EV car for purchases of any package valued at MMK 2,999 and above from any channel from 7 June to 31 July 2024.

Community Support: On 7 June 2024, ATOM employee volunteers and management team members visited the Aung Thu Kha Orphanage School in Taw Kay Village, Kungyangon Township, Yangon Region, to donate educational and everyday items such as stationery, shirts, umbrellas and hats valued at a total of MMK 10 million to the children, as well as organise entertainment activities for them. In addition, ATOM will also arrange medical support for residents of an elderly home in June 2024.

Partners Appreciation: A gala dinner will be held to acknowledge and express gratitude to ATOM's business partners together with ATOM family.
