Update: Telenor Myanmar changing ownership – business and operations continue as today 

25 March 2022: As of today, the ownership of Telenor Myanmar has been fully transferred to the new owner. The company is no longer part of Telenor Group.

The Telenor brand will continue to be licensed to Telenor Myanmar Limited for a four months until the new brand identity is unveiled.

(Yangon 18.03.2022) - Myanmar authorities have approved the sale of Telenor Myanmar and the transaction is expected to be closed shortly. 
 
The change of ownership will have no immediate impact on customers, employees or partners of Telenor Myanmar. The transaction amounts to a transfer of 100% of the shares of the company to the new owner.  
 
All existing contracts and relations of Telenor Myanmar will continue unchanged, and there is in general no need for changing or updating agreements.
